Learn More About the Competition

FIRST

FIRST is a global non-profit organization aimed at inspiring and engaging young people in the fields of STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, through robotics competitions and educational programs. Its main goal is to prepare youth for challenges by encouraging critical thinking, innovation, and collaboration. FIRST offers a variety of programs tailored to different ages and skill levels, promoting values such as cooperation and inclusion.

FRC

The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international competition promoted by the FIRST organization, where student teams design, build, and program robots to complete complex tasks in a competitive environment. FRC highlights values such as preparing participants for careers in science and technology. It emphasizes not only robot building but also the development of leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The competition provides academic and professional opportunities.

STEAM

STEAM is one of the most important principles followed by the competition and team, which are:

Science: It includes principles of biology, chemistry, physics, and Earth sciences. The scientific component emphasizes understanding the natural world through observation, experimentation, and analysis.

Technology: This covers the use of tools, machines, and systems to solve problems and improve efficiency. Technological innovations strongly drive the other components.

Engineering: Engineering involves the design, construction, and maintenance of systems and structures. This includes applying scientific and mathematical principles to create practical solutions.

Arts: Arts includes disciplines such as painting, music, dance, theater, graphic design, and much more, stimulating creativity and innovation.

Mathematics: Mathematics is the foundation, providing the quantitative and logical tools necessary for problem-solving.
